Robert Wheeler is the Chief Human Resources and Facilities Officer at Lowell Community Health Center and has made healthcare his career. In his current role he oversees the development and implementation of human resources programs, policies, and services in support of the Health Center’s mission. As facilities officer, he has the honor of having oversight of the health center’s home in a renovated historic downtown mill building. Prior to joining the Health Center, he was work at South Shore Health System in South Weymouth for 23 years serving in many roles including the Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Robert is active in the Lowell community serving on the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee of the Lowell Medial Assistant Day Institute.

Since joining Lowell Community Health Center in in 2018, Robert has moved to downtown Lowell and made it his home. He enjoys all his new community has to offer – from its rich history, architecture, cultural events, small shops and restaurants. His son Matt – an only child – and daughter-in-law Nune live in Pasadena California and he enjoys trips to the west coast to visit them.
