Margaret Marotta began her tenure as Superintendent of Haverhill Public Schools in July of 2018. She came to Haverhill with 25 years of experience in education and human services. For the past 20 years she has been an active district-wide urban instructional leader, confronting a full array of circumstances faced by educators across the nation, including “Turn Around Planning” in the Boston and Salem Public Schools. She is committed to meeting the needs of all learners and creating consistent, but flexible systems that adjust to meet the individual needs and personalities of our schools and students.
Margaret holds a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree from Assumption College, a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the Suffolk University Sawyer School of Management, a Master’s in Science in Counselling from Suffolk University and a Doctorate of Education from Boston University.
