Liz Polay-Wettengel is the Director of PR, Communications, and Engagement for Shore Educational Collaborative where she focuses on supporting school districts and municipalities statewide by creating effective PR, communications, and engagement strategies. She is formally the Chief of Public Relations at Salem Public Schools, where she revamped communication systems, strengthened the school-to-family communications pipeline, established a user-friendly website, and enhanced community partnerships – all amidst a pandemic.
Previously, she worked at EMI/Capitol Records, creating robust marketing programs and public awareness campaigns in New York City, and then moved to Boston to begin a career in the nonprofit sector as the manager of internet initiatives at Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston and as the Vice President of Digital Strategy and Content at InterfaithFamily. She is also the past chairperson for the
Salem Cultural Council.
Liz lives in Salem, Massachusetts, with her husband David, and their two sons and has an associate's degree in music and media.
